My thoughts on E3
To me, the biggest news to come out of E3 was FFXIV Online. I was a big fan of FFXI, but I dropped it due to the game being a huge timesink. Hopefully Square has learned from their mistakes this time around. I'll definitely be playing it once it comes out. Anyone else up for it? Anyways, Sony really brought themselves up with this announcement.
I'm disappointed with Valve announcing L4D2. Valve playing the rehashing game isn't anything new, they are a greedy company.
Hideo Kojima was certainly "the Man" of E3. Announcing new Metal Gear titles for PSP/PC/PS3/360. And he is also overseeing production of the new Castlevania game, Lord of Shadows. Castlevania! E3 2009 will be the year Hideo Kojima won E3 himself.
So how did the Big Three perform?
Sony had some killer announcements of "new games" including The Last Guardian, FFXIV, and Agent. It was disappointing that they didn't announce any kind of pricecut.
Microsoft played "Mr. Me Too" again this year. Metal Gear on the 360 is big news, but you can't put yourself on top if you have the same games everyone else has, certainly flaunting a multiplatform title in your keynote won't help. Leave it to those publishers. Halo:Rehash announcement was pretty big too I guess. Boring announcements..., Twitter and Facebook on Live? LAAMEE
Nintendo loyals will be pleased to hear that the games they've been playing since forever will be getting new sequels. New Metroid game, and a slew of new Mario games! Congratulations, go get a real console already.
Congrats to Sony for a good E3, the future looks very bright for the PS3, hopefully the pricecuts come soon.

I was kinda miffed at decisions made by all of the big 3 in terms of whats is coming out and what isn't. FF14 won't be played by me, and I think it's cool that it's online, but at the same time that is the reason i won't go near it. The trailer was awesome and I was wicked into it while watching it. Then when "online" came up I was legitly sad. Oh well, plenty of other stuff to keep me busy. Am I the only one who hated every time sony showed a sizzle trailer of several games for each console they showed it on a screen within a screen?? I could barely see what the fuck was going on at all, totally took away any of the fun. Also, RE on PSP was a rad announcement but I'm waiting to see what exactly comes from that...I don't want an outbreak style game at all.

yeah microsoft should have cooled it with gloating about having all these amazing games that are third party. thats one of the reasons that sonys conferenced ruled so hard. mostly everything they showed was exclusive. i am mad at kojima for going to microsoft F that!!! hopefully thatll get people into the franchise though and then theyll want more and realized that the PS3 has what they dont. i still havent seen the nintendo conference but it doesnt seem like i missed much from what you said.

I dont give a flying FCUKKKKKKK about microsoft and what they have to offer. Its so frustrating to see such a great company come out with so many disappointing ideas. They did this same dance with GTA remember? all the titles that were HUGGGGGE on ps2 came out years later for xbox, then they did it GTA4, now MGS?? cmon bro I dont care how good people think 360 is, those vids we had on the PS store months before the release of MGS4 were jaw dropping and then the full game made us blow our loads
